These interventions are located within the Local Project No. 8 (PL8), which compensate the territorial and social impact following the works for the construction of APL – Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda (Section A).

The final project of the “Dalmine – Como – Varese – Valico del Gaggiolo motorway connection ed works connected to it” approved by CIPE with resolution no. 97 of 6 November 2009 has identified an environmental budget for the municipalities of Turate (CO), Limido Como (CO), Fenegrò (CO), Cirimido (CO), different for each municipality depending on the compensation to be incurred, for the realization of a compensatory intervention aimed at the landscape-environmental enhancement of the territory concerned from the highway crossing.

The PL8 has set itself the achievement of objectives at the supramunicipal level of safeguarding the existing naturalness and promoting slow mobility.
