The renovation of a physiotherapy pool belonging to a charity entailed the research for solutions that balanced costs with the quality of materials and equipment; the project must last in time: the choice was made to use traditional and weelknown materials in order for colours and small details to become architectural quality elements. The peculiarity of the users placed in the foreground some issues concerning accesibility and fruition; the concept of “design for all” used as a starting point encompasses project quality and attention to the spaces without losing sight of usability for all.
